ONE FINE DAY

Inevitably there’s hilarity when fantasy meets reality
For our parody full of irony, let us contemplate the stalemate
Of the marketplace, the marriage marketplace
Merrily she will dance and romance, but do not be misled
She knows what is right, when she’s pushed she will fight
And good luck if you think you can change her
She will not be chained, not our precious Jane
Hail the innocence of the honest soul that cannot be sold
Hail the persistence of the boundless soul who knows what is whole
So many forms of love, there are
As many forms of love as moments in time
Each of us is on our way to love that will be ours
Come one fine day

When lovers run with arms open, when the chosen ones are unchosen
When the family tree gets panicky and the victory becomes empty
It’s fun to watch, so much fun to watch
Humorously, she will write what she sees
Precision comedies of wise reticence and solemn nonsense
That can mean most anything to anyone
In our own day, in our own day
Show the foolishness of the meticulous being ridiculous
Share the endless joy of your playfulness and your happiness
So many forms of love, there are
As many forms of love as moments in time
Each of us is on our way to love that will be ours
Come one fine day
One fine day
One fine day
