Don’t be so hard upon yourself
Let me do it
You’ve got wounds and I’ve got salt
Now let’s get to it
You’re better now than ever
At something that we will never need again
I used to call, then I would email, then I’d text
Now I ignore most everyone
Guess what? You’re next!
But when I say I’m over-sexed
Why do you look perplexed?
Is it something in your past?
I’m a mystery in a pita
Why a pita?
That’s another mystery
I’m a sneaky little bastard
A fallen angel on the lamb
Why I fell upon a lamb I do not understand
I’m both Gemini and gypsy
When you feel you’re getting tipsy
Hold my hands
Who am I? I wish I knew. It seems a pity
To have so many thoughts and doubts
It’s like talking to a committee
And though I outed you
I have never doubted you would be the one
I’m a mystery in a pita
Why a pita?
That’s another mystery
To know me is to love me, mother said
But when mother left, something got in my head
Father said the sky’s the limit
But in my picture he’s not in it
That’s one more thread
No doubt the universe unfolds just as it should
And I’ll be rich and I’ll be famous when I’m understood
Is the best still yet to come?
I guess we’ll find out when it’s done
Till then I’m yours
I’m a mystery in a pita
Why a pita?
That’s another mystery
I’m a mystery in a pita
Why a pita?
That’s another mystery
I’m a mystery in a pita
Why a pita?
That’s another mystery
