AT THE SOUND

Life, I’m going to tell you what it’s like:
At the sound of a waterfall
At the sound of a morning dove’s call
At the sound of a spring rainfall
I feel alive, I come alive, I am alive to all of life in all its forms
Give me one more sound

But aren’t you forgetting something:
Technically, not all sound is fair
Sounds of violence, shattered silence
They only bring despair

Well, that may be true, but…
What I want, I want everyday
What I miss, I miss everyday
But when I love, I love everyday
If everyday’s a holiday, then everyday is surely made for you and me
Give me one more day

Yeah, but I think you’re forgetting:
Truthfully, there must be times
When you are alone, it must be bad
When you’re alone, it’s sad

Yeah, of course I get sad sometimes, but on the other hand:
With the sundown, the day is done
When the sun’s down, the memories come
But when it’s fun I love everyone
If everyone has plenty and there’s plenty here for everyone, we must be one
I love everyone!

Once more you’re forgetting:
Actually, it’s all pretend
Because in the end, it all must end
Everything must end

Who exactly invited you?
But does it matter if in the end
We were here and we found a friend
That’s not something you can pretend
A friend in need’s a friend indeed
We’re rich if we have one true friend like you and me, and me, and me
