One-two-three
It was my first game show, the stage was all aglow
The host began to crow, my brain was like Play-Doh
Then I turned to see her standing there. We’re on the air!
AEIO baby, I nearly lost “U” when I was looking for “Y”
AEIO baby, with “U” in its place, I can finally find the meaning
At the beginning of the game I was feeling ashamed
That much hasn’t changed, I still feel the same
We gave the wheel a spin, I never dreamed we would win
But she seemed to know just where it would go
In this puzzle of hearts, as she grabbed the wheel
I scanned the board. How can I close the deal?
My mind was blank. It was like walking the plank
Suddenly it was solved, but I’m not sure how I was involved
AEIO baby, I nearly lost “U” when I was looking for “Y”
AEIO baby, with “U” in its place, I can finally find the meaning
As the wheel spun around, as the audience settled down
I got to wondering who made up this game?
Did it all start with her, when I first saw her face?
Or long ago in some mysterious place?
Before I knew it we were in the speed round
That’s when what you thought you know starts to tumble down
Although I was grinnin’, my head was spinnin’
Wisely I kept my mouth shut and we just kept winnin’
AEIO baby, I nearly lost “U” when I was looking for “Y”
AEIO baby, with “U” in its place, I can finally find the meaning
I idolize, I antagonize her,
I fantasize, I neutralize her
I rhapsodize, I stigmatize her
I memorize, minimize, energize, paralyze
Immortalize, traumatize and monopolize her
Why would I do that?
Because I love her!
AEIO baby, I nearly lost “U” when I was looking for “Y”
AEIO baby, with “U” in its place, I can finally find the meaning
It took me some time to learn my lesson
But after a while I knew I was only just guessin’
Me being a man I thought I’d stay far above it
Now no matter what she asks, I just say, “Honey, I love it”
AEIO, baby, for all that you’ve done, I owe a vow now
AEIO, baby, I owe a vow now
If life’s just a game, I’m so glad you played it with me
If love’s just a game, I’m so glad you played it with me
If life’s just a game, I’m so glad you played it with me
If love’s just a game, I’m so glad you played it with me
